How We Make Our Small-Batch Soaps: A Look Inside Our Process

At The Pure Market our soap-making process is all about quality, simplicity, and intention. Every bar is made in small batches using traditional cold-process methods — a slow, thoughtful approach that allows us to preserve the natural benefits of each ingredient.

We begin by selecting the highest quality oils and butters that are gentle on the skin, such as olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, and apricot oil. We combine these with either fresh goat milk or coconut milk, depending on the recipe, to create a rich, creamy base that hydrates instead of stripping the skin of it natural oils.

From there, each batch is enriched with natural additives like clays, local honey, and  botanicals for added skin benefits and texture. We use only pure essential oils to scent our soaps, giving every bar a soft, natural scent without harsh chemicals.

Once poured, the soap rests in wooden molds and is hand-cut after 24–48 hours. Each bar then cures for 4–6 weeks — a slow but essential part of the process that allows the ph level to drop making it skin safe and water to evaporate from the soap making hard, long lasting bar.

Our process is intentionally simple. No unnecessary fillers, no synthetic dyes or fragrance, and no shortcuts. Just pure, gentle, skin-loving ingredients crafted with care.
